The Formulation Of PROmite™

Having found that Biocides were not going to be affective long-term against the House Dust Mite– they began looking in other directions.

PROmite™ is the development of over 18 months of research and tests by Active Chemical Products Ltd - a leading manufacturer of carpet and upholstery cleaning and protection treatments in the UK. 

Originally they were commissioned to discover which Biocides would be the best to use as an additive in a Fluorochemical product (carpet protection treatment). After several months of research they realised there were too many long-term problems of using biocides. 

As Biocides were only a temporary remedy against the House Dust Mite, with the help of the Health & Safety Executive, they came up with a new raw material called ‘Synthetic Pyrethroid’.   A new type of pesticide, which is safe for humans – it’s even found in a number of food products.  

Therefore, a new product that contains an excellent House Dust Mite eliminator and a proven stain protector was developed.   This new product called PROmite™ in tests has repeatedly continued to give great results and relief to hundreds of people for at least 12 months.
